**About the Role**
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Youth Sports Activity Coordinator to join our team at Volunteering Waikato.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and leading sports activities for children, youth, and families in Hamilton. Your primary goal will be to ensure inclusivity and engagement for all participants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and facilitating sports and recreational activities for children, youth, and families;
- Organizing community sports events, tournaments, and group exercises;
- Encouraging participation and promoting teamwork, fair play, and positive engagement;
- Collaborating with other volunteers and community partners to enhance program offerings;
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to motivate and mentor young participants to develop confidence and leadership skills. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for sports, fitness, and community engagement.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong passion for sports, fitness, and community engagement;
- Experience in coaching, youth leadership, or sports event coordination (preferred but not required);
- Strong communication and leadership skills;
