Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Sports and Wellness Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality physical education lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and age groups. Your primary objective will be to develop students' physical skills, coordination, fitness levels, and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote physical activity, sportsmanship, and social interaction among students.
- Develop and implement programs that cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring inclusive and accessible experiences for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum, promoting a holistic approach to learning.
- Provide constructive feedback on student progress, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, using data to inform instruction and program development.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A teaching qualification (Bachelor's or Master's degree) in Health Education, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching physical education, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in physical education and pedagogy.
