As a Youth Advocacy Worker, you will work closely with tamariki or rangitahi to identify their aspirations and develop action plans. Your tasks will encompass a range of activities, including observing and responding to health concerns, supporting tamariki or rangitahi to access education, and tailoring supports to meet the unique needs of each young person.

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic individual who can provide effective support and advocacy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be respectful of others' thinking, and demonstrate cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying the aspirations of each young person
  • Developing action plans to support goal achievement
  • Providing advocacy and support to promote positive outcomes
  • Tailoring supports to meet the changing needs of each young person
