Job Overview

We are seeking an Activities Programme Coordinator to join our team at Bupa Eventhorpe Care Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating leisure activities for residents, promoting social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend coverage as required.
  • The Activities Programme Coordinator will identify the interests and preferences of each resident and coordinate an activities programme based on their needs.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage activity plans for residents across the care home, including rest home and hospital levels of care.
  2. Plan, develop, and lead individualised activity plans for each resident based on their interests and preferences.
  3. Ensure residents are treated with respect, dignity, and cultural sensitivity.
Requirements
  • A NZQA Diversional Therapy (level 4) Certificate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar healthcare setting.
  • Creative flair to contribute towards a full and varied activities programme.
