About Recruitment at Te KuraThe recruitment team at Te Kura is a small but essential function within the Human Resources team.
We support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, from posting job adverts and providing advice to assisting with pre-employment checks and offers of employment.
We are currently seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to join us on a fixed-term basis for 8 months.
In this role, you will work closely with our Recruitment Coordinator and HR Advisor (Recruitment Lead) to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment experience for both candidates and managers.As a Recruitment Coordinator, you will be supporting the full recruitment life cycle.
Your responsibilities will include:Drafting and posting job advertisementsAnswering queries that come through to our jobs inbox and providing timely support to candidates and hiring managersAssisting with offers on behalf of hiring managers, including negotiating start dates, salaries, and contract detailsCoordinating approvals, preparing contracts, and processing employment variationsCompleting onboarding tasks such as setting up new hires in HR systems, processing documentation, coordinating IT and equipment setup, and ensuring everything is in place for their first day.This is a fast-paced and rewarding role, offering the chance to develop recruitment experience while working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and thrives in a busy environment.
You'll bring:Strong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to set clear expectations and provide great candidate and hiring manager experiences (negotiation skills are a bonus)A solutions-focused mindset and the ability to use your initiativeAt least 12 months' experience in a busy administration or coordination role (HR experience is a bonus but not essential)If you enjoy keeping processes running smoothly, supporting others, and delivering a great recruitment experience, this role could be a great fit for youTe Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school, delivering personalised learning programmes through distance education.
