Payroll Officer at Inland Revenue Te Tari Taake, Wellington - WairarapaAra whiwhi mahi - The opportunity Reporting directly to the Service Owner - Payroll, this role provides support to the Payroll function.
This role is based either in Upper Hutt or Wellington and is currently a hybrid role.
Your responsibilities will include utilising your experience with SAP or other large payroll systems working on various initiatives to ensure compliance with changing business and legislative needs.
You will need to be flexible, agile, and good at building relationships in a large complex environment.
You will possess a strong background in the more complex areas of Payroll including the application of legislation and employment agreements.
Prior experience with a large payroll system is essential and preferably SAP.
Practical experience in problem solving and managing larger volumes of processing to tight deadlines is essential and key to your success in this role.
Training for approximately one month will be based in our Upper Hutt office.
To be successful, you must demonstrate the following: Prefer previous SAP experience working with a complex payroll for a large organisation (1000+ employees)Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines is essential as is the use of Excel to an intermediate levelSound understanding of New Zealand payroll related legislation and its application to payroll systems and supporting processesStrong track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers and peers gaining their trust and respectStrong track record of delivering resultsExperience in successfully developing and implementing improvements to payroll processes that ensure the best possible customer and compliance outcomes and providing effective training to others would be an advantage.
