Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand Presbyterian Support Central, Enliven And Family Works Full time

About Us

Presbyterian Support Central, Enliven and Family Works is a not-for-profit organisation that has been delivering services for tamariki and their whanau for over 100 years. We are a team of dedicated professionals who share a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
We have 14 residential Homes from Taranaki to the Wellington Region, and employ over 1000 team members. Our Residential Aged Care Homes are provided by Enliven, while our Family Works deliver services through Family Works.
We are connected to the communities we serve and our teams of people are driven by supporting the lives of others through the work they do.
About the Role Our payroll team is small, with two members, so we are looking for someone to work closely with our Senior Payroll Advisor to manage our fortnightly payroll, deal with pay queries and deliver timely, accurate and efficient pay processing. We work under both collective and individual employment terms across our organisation, providing an opportunity to gain working experience within a complex unionised multi-site environment.
This role involves end-to-end processing support of PSC's payroll function, working with the Senior Payroll Advisor to prepare and complete the fortnightly payroll using Datacom. You will also be responsible for managing the on-boarding and off-boarding process, liaising with HR, Managers and employees as appropriate.
We are seeking someone who can work collaboratively as a member of the wider finance team, preparing fortnightly payroll reporting and dealing with ad hoc pay queries as they arise. If you have a passion for working in a not-for-profit environment, where we all share a desire to make a difference when we come to work, then this could be the perfect role for you.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have two years' experience in payroll, preferably with Datacom. You should also have experience supporting and processing a large payroll with complex terms and conditions. Additionally, you will need to be able to understand the complexities of rostered hours and how the Holidays Act applies. As a supportive and collaborative team player, you will enjoy working with others in a way that builds understanding of legislation affecting pay processing. Your ability to meet deadlines and work well in a fast-paced environment is also essential. Finally, you must demonstrate sound communication skills, both written and verbal.

What's in it for me?

At Presbyterian Support Central, Enliven and Family Works, we value our team members and offer flexible working arrangements. We believe in supporting the well-being of our employees, offering opportunities to develop and grow within your role. We also provide employee discounts, discounted healthcare cover and employee assistance programmes. On top of that, we have free on-site parking and office social activities. We love a daily quiz or a morning tea, and our work is never dull, with interest and variety every day. What more could you ask for?
