**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**

Reporting to the Head of Corporate, you will be accountable for the performance of the Northern Corporate relationship teams. Responsibilities would include:

- Leading, growing and enabling the Northern based Corporate teams to meet agreed business plan outcomes.
- Having an active presence in market - representing the business externally across the Region, including on key client relationships.
- Execution of business and growth strategies as agreed by Corporate LT.
- Working closely with Industry Heads to ensure industry strategies are embedded within Relationship teams.
- Customer experience (including NPS).
- Drive and deliver employee engagement outcomes.
- Leadership and performance of Area Managers and Portfolio Managers
- Overall responsibility for workflows and turnaround of customer requests.
- Ensuring strong risk management practices are embedded across the Northern team.
- Supporting and embedding process improvement and digitisation initiatives.

**Na tōu rourou | What will you bring?**
- Prior experience working within a large complex organisation.
- Expert knowledge of the financial services industry, including 10+ years banking experience, preferably within a Business Banking environment.
- Demonstrated success leading high performing teams, with a minimum of 5 years leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success driving employee engagement.
- Sound knowledge of Westpac’s products and services, particularly the ability to structure and negotiate complex business lending deals.
- Results focused individual with a strong track record of holding others to account.
- Confidence and experience engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding and experience managing risk and engaging with risk business partners.
- Demonstrated strength in coaching and mentoring skills.
- Has a strategic mindset and understands how to use data to drive decision making.
- Ability to take ownership to act independently within agreed frameworks.
- A track record of improving processes to create efficiency and enhance customer experience would be an advantage.
- Tertiary qualification preferred.
