Downer holds multiple Facilities Maintenance and Management Services Contracts with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for the provision of Facilities Maintenance and Management Services. One of these Contracts is for service delivery in the Southern Region, which comprises Burnham Army camp and thirteen (13) satellite sites.

We are looking for an exceptional manager to join our business and lead our Southern Region team. You will be an experienced Facilities Management professional, with a strong track record of people leadership and delivering quality customer outcomes. You will be commercially astute, good with numbers and possess a high level of emotional intelligence.

As our Southern Region Facilities Manager you will play a critical role in ensuring delivery of services to our customer in a timely, safe, quality and cost-effective manner. You will be both responsible for building and maintaining regional customer relationships and must be prepared to both drive and model a high level of customer service.

**Other key responsibilities of this role are**:

- demonstrating a strong commitment to Zero Harm and people health & safety.
- providing leadership and direction to your six (6) direct reports and the Downer teams located in the Southern Region and building a healthy, professional and safety focussed team culture.
- delivering strong financial and KPI results in the Southern Region.
- being responsible for ensuring self-delivery resources are productive and well utilised.
- being responsible for implementing company initiatives and reporting on progress.
- ensuring the timely delivery of site compliance, including BWOF and HSNO requirements.
- delivering all services and people leadership in accordance with our Downer Values.

**To be successful in this role, you will bring us**:

- A minimum 5 years’ management level experience within the facilities industry or an operations management role.
- Formal qualifications in a trade or management discipline.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- Proven people leadership experience, coupled with an ability to build a team and develop a healthy team working environment.
- Financial capabilities - must understand numbers, have an ability to both manage costs and be willing to drive improved productivity.
- Strong customer service focus. A genuine desire to exceed customer expectations and lead your team to deliver the same.
- Experience in driving operational activities to ensure quality is achieved, work is completed to schedule and within KPI and rework is minimised.
- Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
