We are a company in growth mode and due to recent acquisitions we are seeking an experienced Regional Manager who can lead and drive business performance based from our Christchurch location.

As the Regional Manager, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by managing sales activities and service operations across multiple locations within your region.

You will lead the South Island region and take responsibility for acquiring new business opportunities, maximising sales opportunities in existing accounts and working in collaboration with national and regional teams to deliver excellent sales growth and customer service, with local P&L responsibility.

This role involves building a positive culture that fosters employee engagement, satisfaction, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.


Your role will include (but not be limited to):

  • In conjunction with the Sales and National Accounts team develop new business opportunities within the current national account portfolio and across the business categories of Pest, Hygiene and Ambius.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all touchpoints, fostering longterm client relationships and loyalty
  • Inspire sales and service teams to achieve and surpass performance metrics, including sales quotas, service delivery and customer retention
  • Set market driven and customer specific sales and service strategies for your regional team
  • Developing, strengthening and reinforcing strategic business relationships with key decision makers.
  • Reviewing market trends to determine customer needs by leading, developing and implementing local sales plans
  • Monitor monthly performance against business targets
  • Ensure your team continue to meet and exceed sales and service metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Optimize operational teams to increase productivity and deliver improved operational efficiency
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure service delivery and address operational challenges
  • Preparing regular sales & business updates showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion, opportunities and accounts as risk
  • Monitoring and evaluating competitor products and activities.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven business generation ability
  • Ability to perform in a fastpaced environment
  • Background in both sales strategy development and service operations management, preferably in a multilocation set up
  • Strong people management skills and thorough understanding of performance management
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and a proven track record of delivering results
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Lead by example, demonstrating our Values with a positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to customer service excellence
  • Ability to develop sound relationships and ensure a focus on proactive health & safety culture with employees and clients
  • Financial awareness and ability to manage a P&L, balance sheet, annual budget and forecasting for the region
  • Ability to control projects, identify and mitigate risk when present
  • Ability to present effective presentations and produce local proposals and tender responses
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • High level commercial and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop and convert new business opportunities
