We’re looking for a coordination superstar with great attention to detail, for a fast-paced coordination role providing support across our busy national Strategy and Performance Directorate. This is a varied and interesting role where no two days are the same. You will support the Tier 3 Manager leading this Directorate and help ensure the four teams and project work within the Directorate runs well.

**Ko wai mātou? - Who we are**

Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity established on 1 July 2017 under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. The role of our new organisation is to reduce unwanted fires, respond to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents and natural disasters, and to support increased community resilience.

Our vision is to build stronger communities and protect what matters most to the people within them. We are proud to be recognised as New Zealand’s most trusted public sector agency. Our values reflect what our people believe is core to who we are and the organisation we aspire to be:

- We Do the Right Thing - Kia Tika_
- We Serve and Support - Manaakitanga_
- We Are Better Together - Whanaungatanga_
- We Strive to Improve - Auahatanga_

Our employee benefits include matched KiwiSaver employer contributions of up to six percent, life and income protection insurance for eligible employees, and a wellness policy that allows for generous sick leave provisions so you can look after yourself.

**Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role**

This role is varied - you’ll have a high degree of attention to detail and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment working with different people. You’ll be great with Microsoft Office, and if you’ve got a working knowledge of Visio and Adobe as well, that would be an advantage.

You’ll be an editing whizz who can spot a typo or a missing full stop and be able coordinate and keep track of lots of different, and fast-moving team objectives and work deadlines across the different teams.

You’ll support the National Manager with their diary and calendar, support team meetings, write agendas, take minutes, file things where people can find them, coordinate workshops, help book travel, help track and manage budgets, enter invoices, help track spending across the teams, and undertake other general admin tasks to support the wider team.

To be successful in this role, you will be good with people, a highly engaged self-starter, a continuous learner, detail oriented and enjoy a fast-paced environment. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you

This role is permanent and full-time, based in our central Wellington office.

**Ko tāu nā ki tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role**

This role supports the national Strategy Directorate which works across the organisation, so you’ll be comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and doing a variety of tasks each day.
- You’ll have a positive, can-do attitude, and be a proactive self-starter
- You’ll be comfortable with change and doing different tasks every day or jumping into something different at short notice if a priority changes
- Excellent communication skills, as you’ll work with senior people
- An eye for detail, and good editing skills
- Strong familiarity with the MS office suite, and PowerPoint, Visio and knowledge of Adobe would be an advantage
- You’ll be keen to find ways to improve and evolve things, to make life easier for the team.

**What we offer**:

- Flexibility to suit your life and whānau
- We'll encourage and support you to grow with a range of learning and development opportunities
- Your wellbeing is our priority - we'll provide support through our employee assistance programme, generous annual and sick leave support
- We want you to have a sense of belonging, where you can reflect your personal and cultural identity in the way that you work.
- Social clubs, employee led networks and a friendly and inclusive culture.
- We are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting tāngata whenua.

At Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ), you'll be joining a workplace that values who you are, the work you do and the different perspectives you bring to the team.

**Ko te tono mai - How to apply**

**Please note: Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory for this role.**
