**Education Coordinator role - Whangarei**
This is a role that supports the development of professional capability of our general practice colleagues. Responsible for providing the appropriate delivery mechanism to ensure education needs of our primary care workforce across Tai Tokerau and the workforce education strategy and plan are met, this is a busy yet varied role. Liaising with our Primary Care Development Coordinator and our Clinical Leaders you will support new education initiatives, along with ensuring the smooth delivery of education and presenter events.

Mahitahi Hauora is a primary health entity underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi, our Kaupapa includes ensuring whanau and communities are able to achieve self-determined wellbeing, access to the services they determine they need, and to live a long and healthy life. We work collaboratively with community, primary healthcare providers and key partners to support general practices, Māori health providers and social sector agencies, in achieving better health outcomes for our Tai Tokerau population.

**The Position**
This position is based in Whangarei however supports education events in both a physical and virtual capacity across Tai Tokerau, and will liaise with Virtual Education providers, Education presenters, Professional Clinicians and attendees in coordinating successful education events. While this role predominantly supports organising our education services, it is also responsible for the coordination of contract locum services, and administration support to the Coordination Hub.
This role would be ideally suited to someone who is a people’s person, has a can-do attitude, is a great problem solver, and technically savvy. You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic in your approach and enjoy the education and learning environment. An understanding of the healthcare sector in particular primary care would be an advantage.
**We are looking for the following experience and skills to match**:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in coordination of education programmes
- Relationship management experience across a range of stakeholders
- Advanced computer literacy skills, with advanced experience in Microsoft Office 365 and related programmes
- Demonstrative ability in reporting on relative qualitative and quantitative data
- Evidence of a confident communicator both spoken and written
- An understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- A current full NZ drivers’ licence
**You must be a NZ Citizen or Permanent resident**
