Medical Sales Representative

**The Position**:
There is now an opportunity to join the successful NZ sales team as a Medical Sales representative, calling on General Practitioners and allied healthcare professionals. This role will cover targeted customers across the Central and Lower North Island, including Palmerston North, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington Region.

***Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Exceed sales targets through unit growth and market share acquisition.
- Complete the required number of educational functions within the allocated budget.
- Achieve the required standard of sales calls, which includes working away from home depending on business needs.
- Plan and execute events such as dinner presentation meetings, medical centre luncheons, etc.
- Work effectively within the territory team, contributing to team success.
- Develop relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical and professional knowledge and skills (including selling skills).
- Communicate with relevant BI customer-facing roles (marketing, MSLs, etc.) and work interdependently to ensure the customer experience is personalised and relevant to them.
- Comply with local regulations, industry, and the BI Code of Conduct.

***Essential and Desirable Skills**:

- Tertiary qualifications (preferably in Science/ Medicine/Pharmacy or Business) are preferred but not required
- A minimum of 1-year Pharmaceutical Sales experience and/or territory management experience are preferred but not essential.
- Field sales and territory management experience will be viewed desirably
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a clear communicator
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Superior organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
- An aptitude for learning (including complex technical information and the execution of selling skills)
- Proficient in using MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams)
- Effective presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Genuine interest in forging a career in the pharmaceutical industry
