**Salary details**: $52,260 - $65,981 but there is potential to earn more due to shift work

We have a permanent full time position available for a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician in the specimen registration department of the laboratory. Once you are fully trained, you will be required to work all rostered shifts over a 24 hour period, including weekends.

**Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service**

Specimen registration involves registering specimens on our LIS (Laboratory Information System), triaging specimens for priority, centrifuging and aliquoting specimens if required. We have a close working relationship with all other laboratory departments.

**Mōu | About you**

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Good command of the English language
- Keyboard skills
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment
- Able to prioritise work functions
- To be successful, you must be registered with the NZ Medical Science Council, or be eligible to be registered
- Previous work experience in a medical laboratory would be an advantage
