The Specialist Mental Health Services (SMHS) provided by the Canterbury District Health Board are at the leading edge of mental health service delivery. Our services are provided by a number of outpatient, inpatient, community-based and mobile services throughout Canterbury. We offer a wide range of specialty areas, including: Adult Community; Adult Acute; Rehabilitation; Child, Adolescent and Family; Forensic; Alcohol and Drug; Intellectually Disabled Persons’ Health, and more.

The AHP NESP Coordinator will be part of the SMHS Training Unit team that works with partners to deliver quality, evidenced-based workforce development to SMHS kaimahi. The coordinator is supported in the role by the Professional Leads for Social Work and Allied Health, along with the Nurse Consultant Workforce Development. The AHP NESP programme is responsible to the Director of Allied Health, and works closely with the programme contract holder Auckland University of Technology

We’re looking for an experienced Social Work or Occupational Therapy Clinician with mental health experience to join us as the AHP NESP Coordinator. This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 20 hours per week at our Hillmorton campus, facilitating the orientation and education of our Social Work and Occupational Therapy staff on the AHP NESP programme.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the effective delivery of the AHP NESP programme. Your skills will include:
NZ Registration with the relevant professional board and a current Annual Practicing Certificate is essential (or eligibility to obtain APC);
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience within mental health services;
- Experience in the provision of clinical supervision;
- Experience in supporting clinicians or students to learn (either in clinical or classroom settings)

The salary for this role is Step 10 - 14of the PSA Allied Health MECA
