We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to lead our Medical Specialties and Neurosciences Physiotherapy team on the Christchurch Hospital Combined Campus site in a fixed term capacity through until 30th June 2024. You’ll be co-ordinating and providing leadership for a team working with patients across the clinical specialties in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Acute Stroke, Vascular, General Medicine, Oncology, Haematology and Nephrology.

This is your chance to develop and use leadership skills in a health system undergoing rapid transformation. Your skills will be ensuring the ongoing ability of these services to provide optimal care in a fast paced, tertiary care environment.

As an Allied Health Team Coordinator you’ll be responsible for the daily co-ordination and operational management of a team including clinical supervision, teaching, training and facilitating professional development for your team.

Along with the Clinical Manager (Physiotherapy) you will be part of the leadership team supporting, guiding, and directing the Physiotherapy Service on the Christchurch Hospital Campus. You will also carry a clinical caseload across inpatient wards, as demand requires.

You will enjoy the opportunity to be involved with the development and maintenance of policies and procedures and take the chance to contribute at a multidisciplinary level on quality and governance committees.

Your skills will include:

- A minimum of 2 years clinical experience working in your area of specialty
- Broad clinical experience working in a hospital setting (desirable)
- An ability to lead and contribute to interdisciplinary service development
- Knowledge of quality improvement principles and processes
- An ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Demonstrated leadership abilities (desirable)
