Allied Health work across all parts of the system delivering diagnostics, therapeutic treatments, rehabilitation and enablement across the whole patient journey, as well as informing and implementing preventative/wellbeing focused services and interventions. Our interventions are pivotal to a range of health pathways to enable our people to remain well, live independently and avoid unnecessary admission to hospital and aged care.
Working with the Director of Allied Health - Waitaha Canterbury, the Allied Health Administration Team Leader will lead and manage our administration team to deliver a sustainable, high quality administrative service that maximises access to healthcare services and health outcomes for our patients and their whanau.
They will effectively manage the administration team - s workload and resources to meet Allied Health service delivery requirements and will embed a consumer-focus approach, within the team, to ensure patients - and their whānau are placed at the centre of service delivery.

We are looking for an experienced people leader with at least 2+ years - of senior leadership experience. As a proven people leader you will be responsible for building effective relationships, with your team, through motivation and support and leading by example to drive performance.
You will actively contribute to and implement system and process enhancements to improve overall service delivery, data integrity and alignment with administrative best practice.
You will foster positive working relationships with the wider Allied Health team and key stakeholders by being inclusive, respectful and through effective communication.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who has a sense of humour, who is a great team player and enjoys making a positive difference to the health and wellbeing of our people.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- 2+ years experience leading a team
- Previous experience using PMS (patient management system), Oracle and Microster
- Experience and familiarity with administrative procedures and tools (e.g. MS Outlook / Word / Excel - intermediate level).
- Experience leading successful improvement initiatives.
- A relevant diploma in business administration or similar preferable.
- Previous experience in the health sector is preferable
