**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The primary purpose of the role is to provide trusted and valued, change communications advice and support to the Change & Workforce Transition team to realise the strategic and operational goals of the function.
Reporting to the Head of Change & Workforce Transition, you will provide quality, strategically focused change communication support across the function's services, including notification of emerging opportunities and issues.
Lead the thinking, design, development, and implementation of change communications and approaches for the work of the function.
**Mōu | About you**
Be a champion to work collaboratively with other business units and across sectors, to collectively contribute to the strategic health outcomes outlined in the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2021, and Te Mauri o Rongo.
You will be able to provide thought leadership, senior expertise, and advice to inform decision-making for work programmes that support the delivery of the function's priorities and objectives. Helps to lead and shape innovative solutions.
Provide expert technical advice, in a range of formats for a range of audiences, to inform decision-making.
Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of processes, tools, and frameworks within the team.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification or comparable work experience.
- Previous experience working in strategic or change communications at a senior level. Including delivering communication in large scale organisational/transformational projects.
- Preference for a background in government and health.
- Excellent writing and editing skills and presenting complex information clearly and simply.
- Sound knowledge of communications tools, techniques and channels. A strong problem solver who can effectively mitigate a wide range of risks and issues.
