**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Provide strategic HR advisory services to the wider P&C Leadership Team, Chief People Officer and Executive Leadership Team ensuring effective management of employee relations, and overseeing HR processes with a specific focus on:

- Strategic HR leadership
- Executive talent management
- HR business partnership for Chief Executive, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and P&C Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

You will lead a culture that enables employees to learn and grow to deliver responsive and trusted services, ensuring career growth and development, and supporting Te Whatu Ora to be seen as a preferred employer. Act as an ambassador for the values and behaviours of the desired organisational culture, Te Mauri o Rongo_1_, ensuring unification of diverse individuals and teams whilst supporting positive local cultures to be retained and strengthened, and driving performance through effective teamwork and empowerment to achieve current and future service delivery.

Lead the development and implementation of strategies, plans, frameworks for the team, function, or business unit performance, and drives performance and delivery against objectives.

Role model effective team player behaviour and works to support inclusive, productive interactions and service delivery by actively breaking-down silo thinking and behaviour, especially at decision making level, to allow for best work. Collegially supports others to do the same.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Experience advising Executives and senior leadership teams on HR issues.
- Experience recruiting senior leaders.
- Advanced interpersonal and relationship/rapport-building skills
- Proven ability to anticipate and resolve disputes using negotiation and mediation skills. Is politically astute in recommendations for action.
- Experience in working in strategic, complex political situations effectively and quietly.
- A background in the health sector desirable.
