The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

The Major Projects team within the Protection Directorate will be leading a series of projects the aim to bring together and support health protection services across the new National Public Health Service. This will initially involve both establishing unifying technology and aligning our ways of working in partnership with our stakeholders to implement nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored services.

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

As a **Senior** **Change Advisor **within the Major Projects team, you will be focused on ensuring that the sector a ready, able and most importantly willing to take on new processes and technologies. This will mean that you will be**:

- Working closely with the sector to understand what they need to adopt the changes.
- Work closely with the team to help strengthen our solutions with grounded sector insights.
- Plan, prepare and implement change processes in partnership with the change managers and project teams.
- Prepare our communications products to ensure that they are fit for purpose and support real sector readiness.
- This role will see you Implement the project change process across local, regional and national public health functions.

You have proven experience in leading and managing teams. You're able to think, plan, and contribute strategically and to connect with people to build an engaged and productive workforce. You have an understanding of kawa and tikanga and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi & some experience working in partnership with iwi & Māori communities. **Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health (ideally in public health) or in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience in project management, advisory roles or similar
- Knowledge of the New Zealand health system, risk management, and management in complex environments
- Some leadership experience, which may include having designed and managed a project of work and resources.
- Proficiency in change management methodologies and best practices, such as Prosci, ADKAR, or similar models
- A willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and promote a culture of adaptability and innovation
- Experienced in working in a multi-project environment where the relationships are equally as important as delivering the mahi
