IDEXX is excited to offer the opportunity for an experienced Office Administrator to join our team in Hamilton, New Zealand. This role is a maternity leave cover for approximately 12 months and involves around 30 hours of work per week, however full-time hours may be considered. As an integral member of the IDEXX team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business by ensuring efficient and timely execution of administrative tasks. We also provide a hybrid working environment with the ability to work from home 1-2 days per week.

What you can expect

You will work closely with the New Zealand commercial teams, including marketing and customer experience.

Your will work closely with Australia & New Zealand admin / events team

You will organise travel arrangement for the New Zealand commercial & ANZ WLPD team.

You will organise internal events including preparation, catering and set-up.

You will assist with external events such as conferences and career fairs.

You will support the marketing team with digital marketing e.g. social media.

You will complete monthly accruals, process invoices, reconciliations, and invoicing.

You will support office management e.g. stationary orders, facility management etc.

Overall, you will be a pivotal member of the New Zealand team.

Proven experience in an administrative role supporting senior management, preferably in a commercial or corporate setting.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

An aptitude to learn, use initiative and be self-motivated whilst working in a team environment is essential.

You will possess a high level of computer literacy and be able to demonstrate sound problem-solving skills.

An understanding of the veterinary environment, or scientific diagnostic services is desirable, although you will receive comprehensive training.
