With multiple locations throughout New Zealand, the Penske business has a stable background and is a great place to work. Due to recent changes to the structure of the senior leadership team a new role has been introduced into the business to enable Penske New Zealand to achieve the exciting growth plans that have been set for the short to medium term. This is a permanent, full time opportunity reporting to the General Manager - New Zealand. Ideally the role will be based in our Auckland Branch although consideration may be given to the role being based in Christchurch or Tauranga for the right applicant.

Job functions include, but not limited to:

- Work collaboratively with Branch Managers and Departmental Managers to identify and prioritise improvement initiatives and establish relevant execution strategies;
- Lead and manage strategic improvement initiatives and associated projects that support Penske New Zealand's business growth and strategic plans;
- Lead the execution of Penske New Zealand's continuous improvement strategy and culture, ensuring long term sustainability of results;
- Collaborate with operational leads on project implementation;
- Review and enhance operations and improvement project reporting to provide relevant and timely business information to Department and Branch Managers;
- Analyse processes and procedures with a view to optimise and standardise across the company, including the development of standard models for key processes;
- Analyse and recommend business operational improvements including service, logistics, and financial functions to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness in department operations

- Offer an in-depth knowledge of the heavy transport / industrial engine industries and a strong understanding of internal metrics such as productivity, efficiency, WIP and NPS (customer satisfaction);
- Have completed a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration and/or have a CI qualification or LEAN & Six Sigma Black Belt certifications (a background as a diesel mechanic will also be beneficial);
- Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in business process improvement, with implementation experience utilising Lean principles/Six Sigma/DMAIC;
- Provide evidence of a proven ability to engage, influence, and deliver outcomes with multiple stakeholders nationally - translating theoretical knowledge into practical, team-based implementation;
- Have experience in operations, project management, change management or similar;
- Demonstrate experience leading teams and/or projects and collaborating across multiple departments;
- Be able to take the initiative and work independently and as part of a team;
- Have well-developed experience and skills in conducting business, financial, logístical and process analysis, with demonstrated leadership in shaping CI culture;
- Demonstrate superior attention to detail and strong planning and organisational skills;
