Our electricity generation sites are located along the Waikato River (hydro), the nearby steamfields of the northern part of the Central Plateau (geothermal) and in the Manawatu, South Taranaki and Otago regions (wind).
We have a pipeline of future development sites across the New Zealand and play a leading role in the successful transition to a low carbon economy.
Our Opportunity:
In this role you'll establish the longer-term maintenance priorities for assets and develop future maintenance forecasts based on equipment lifecycle requirements and whole of life plans.
Initially you will be working on a project to help set up this team for the future, ensure the right places plans are in place and formulate strategies beyond the financial year.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is very detailed who would like to contribute to the long term of our assets, which are some key infrastructures within New Zealand with a long history and a future ahead.
There is the flexibility for this role to be based at any of our offices with travel required to our stations to work with key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain whole of life and asset life cycle cost estimates for core assets
- Build long term maintenance budgets (5yrs+) and define maintenance requirements for next financial period
- Enable building of life cycle models for a major assets taking into consideration current operating plans
- Support decision making with respect to routine maintenance, asset replacement or improvement strategies
- Assist to reduce business risk and ensure asset integrity and productivity while optimising direct cost of ownership
We are looking for:
- Maintenance trade qualification or equivalent engineering experience with greater than 10 years' experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of planning, scheduling and budgeting in CMMS
- Maximo
- Practical knowledge of Geothermal and or Hydro power station assets (Desirable but not necessary)
- Deep knowledge of asset management fundamentals specifically maintenance planning and scheduling
- Experience using zerobased budgeting (ZBB) and/or long term maintenance budgeting
