We have a fantastic opportunity for a TMP Planner to join our Traffic Division in Hamilton. The purpose of this role is to design TMP layouts and detailed draughting in temporary traffic design.

This role is key to the safe delivery of a range of projects across the Waikato & Bay of Plenty Regions.

About the role

  • As our TTM Planner, you'll be executing the design and submission of Traffic Management Plans using Rapid Plan. You will be required to work closely with the operations teams to ensure the best outcome for both the business and stakeholders.

You will also:

  • Design traffic management plans using Rapid Plan for planned works as part of our three Maintenance contracts for onsite activities such as Asphalt Surfacing, Chip Sealing, Kerb, Channel and Footpath renewals, and other works.
  • Conduct site scoping visits as required to assess TMP suitability against on site environmental factors
  • Develop close working relationships with clients, project managers and RCA's.
  • Ensure the submission of plans to the Corridor Access Request team is to a high standard.
  • Assist the Traffic Manger and Traffic Operations Supervisor as required with scheduling crews, jobs, and resource.
  • 40 to 50 hours per week.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Traffic Management experience
  • Minimum intermediate level CAD or Drawing experience


TMP preparation knowledge
  • NZTA warrant as a TMP Planner is desired, but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Class 1 license is essential
  • STMS qualifications Level 2/3NP or Cat A&B are essential
