Your role - tō tūranga

  • The Planner Scheduler plays a key role in supporting the delivery of work carried out by the Signals, Telecommunications, Traction and Electrical (STTE) teams throughout the region (Waikato / Bay of Plenty / Kingcountry).
  • You will be planning and scheduling activities for inspections, maintenance and renewals work.
  • You will also be responsible for weekly reporting of completed work, as well as the rescheduling of work not done.
  • You will work closely with STTE teams (Managers / Field Engineers / Supervisors / Leading Hands) and travel to site occasionally to understand local issues and build & maintain working relationships.
  • You will ensure that the activities planned fulfil the requirements of the asset management plans and meet relevant engineering codes and any other regulatory requirements.
  • A key function will be to prepare and update the schedule of the work plan so that Renewals, Preventative Maintenance, Inspections and Corrective Maintenance Work Orders for STTE is scheduled 3 to 6 months in advance.

This role requires someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be detail-oriented and have the ability to interpret and analyse complex data reports along with:

  • Previous experience in planning and scheduling of resources is essential
  • Experience interpreting, analysing and reporting on data
  • Experience of reviewing and reporting planned to actuals
  • Sufficient knowledge of Maximo (or similar asset management data base)
  • Experience working on Microsoft Project and good Excel skills
