The Team Leader, Ministerial Services leads and provides pastoral care for staff, and provides quality control with respect to the output of the wider Ministerial Services team.

There will be a component of writing and managing projects and ministerial servicing products (e.g. OIAs, Ministerial correspondence and/or written parliamentary questions) as part of the role.

The role will support the Manager Ministerial Services by providing a key mentoring and coaching role for Coordinators and Advisors in the Ministerial Services team, as well as oversight of the education, training and guidance within the team.

Ensuring we take a people centred approach to all of our initiatives, processes and systems, the role is critical in supporting the experience we want our people to have.

Ideally you will have:

  • Commitment to developing your cultural capability and capacity in te ao Māori
  • Previous experience and indepth knowledge of Ministerial and Parliamentary processes and demonstrated success in ministerial servicing at a senior level in an organisation.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring of others in areas of expertise.
  • Contemporary knowledge of ministerial servicing best practice.
  • The confidence to challenge and the curiosity to change.
  • Ability to partner effectively with leaders, establishing credibility and relationships of influence, being comfortable challenging the status quo, being risk aware rather than risk averse.
  • The ability to identify and develop innovative and agile ministerial servicing solutions.
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $114,872 to $139,510 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
