Mō mātou - About us

Our Governance and Ministerial Services Team plays a crucial role in managing Inland Revenue's requests under the Official Information Act, providing timely, expert advice and support to IR and the Minister of Revenue's office, and supporting our executive-level governance system.

The team are tight-knit and supportive, comprising of Ministerial Advisors, Governance Advisors and Business Support superstars.
Ara Whiwhi Mahi - The opportunity

As a Ministerial Advisor, you will work collaboratively across IR to coordinate, review and create responses to Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary Questions, Ministerial correspondence and other written material.

You will provide advice, guidance and support to IR staff on the Official Information Act and other technical matters.

You will be working with leaders and teams across Inland Revenue, as well as working closely with the Minister of Revenue's office.

Mōu - About you

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to write documents that are clear, concise and in plain English
  • Familiarity working with the Official Information Act is helpful, but not essential
  • Strong teamwork skills
