We are looking for a Manager to play a critical role in leading out the Māori development strategic objectives in our Investment, Planning & Support team.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity

The Manager, Investment Planning & Support is responsible for maintaining a strategic overview across a wide-ranging investment portfolio, developing and leading a work programme with a strong focus on managing and building strong relationships with key internal partners and in some cases independent advisory boards.


The priorities for this role will be as follows:

  • Investment planning and supporting analysis and evidence.
  • The analysis across investment portfolios, assessing relative performance of initiatives and priorities for investment.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of funds and services.
  • Leading best practice in contract design and management.
  • Reporting on the performance and effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Providing practical support to regional teams on investment planning, contract management, monitoring and proposal administration.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be an adaptable team player experienced in working in high performing physical and virtual cross functional teams.
  • Have a passion for knowledge, open to learning new things and comfortable with a changing environment.
  • Be comfortable working in a tikanga/kaupapa Māori environment, have a degree of fluency in Te Reo Māori is of benefit.
  • Have the ability to identify, build and actively manage significant relationships, valuing diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Understand the relevance of the Treaty of Waitangi to the work being undertaken.
  • Have welldeveloped communication skills, both oral and written.
