You will have the opportunity to

  • Manage the relationship with our external property management partner, overseeing performance, managing escalations and ensuring all legal and financial commitments are met
  • Work to ensure all lease and rental reviews are signed off in a timely and accurate manner and planning ahead of these to ensure any changes are actioned
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on any existing and potential codevelopment opportunities
  • Work with inhouse and external legal teams ensuring documentation is executed
  • Contribute to Z's long term Asset Management Plan
  • Act a property advisor to Z, using your knowledge to provide guidance and decision making
  • Make an impact on the experience that end users of our portfolio have, doing things the Z way

Qualifications

What you'll bring to Z

  • Extensive experience in commercial or industrial property management
  • Demonstrated history of optimising portfolios and leveraging lease agreements
  • Ingrained knowledge of commercial leases, property law, market movements and risk management
  • The ability to work at a high cadence, this role is high volume and will manage a large number of transactions at any time
  • Excellent relationship building skills, you will work with a range of people from commercial property managers and lawyers to tenants as well as across the Z business
  • Experience managing external suppliers and their performance
  • Influencing and negotiation skills, ensuring that decisions made are for the best of Z and our future

The base salary range for this role is $127,415 to $142,500 per annum, plus 15% bonus based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
