About the role


NZ Police are expanding their National Property Office to provide an enhanced level of property related services to the wider Police community.


The National Property Office (NPO) is responsible for the management of the property portfolio as part of the Corporate Operations group, which enables Police through the operational delivery of corporate services.


As part of this Police are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Property Manager who will ensure the effective management, coordination and performance of Police property assets.

They will take a whole-of-life approach ensuring that our assets are managed in a sustainable and cost-effective manner.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Represent the Police National Property Office with Police Districts and Business units
  • Develop, plan, scope and manage small to medium property projects
  • Oversee propertyrelated Health and Safety issues
  • Assisting with property leases, tenancy agreements and disposals
  • Assisting with property maintenance and associated service providers
  • Ensuring property compliance and that decision making is cost effective, sustainable and demonstrates benefits to Police.
  • Assist with the preparation of property policy and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Skills & Experience:

  • A relevant qualification or experience in property and or project management would be advantageous
  • Experience managing residential tenancies in New Zealand
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with an ability to oversee multiple work streams
