Our client is a large financial services organisation who is looking for a seasoned Assistant Accountant to join their wider finance team.

Supporting the Senior Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant covers a range of service requirements within the financial accounting function. There is a definite opportunity to become a permanent role for the right person.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Month end journals and bank reconciliations
  • NZ and Sustainability reporting
  • Fixed Assets Register
  • GST, RWT, FBT returns
  • Resolving GL queries
  • Adhoc duties as requested by the Senior Finance Manager
  • Providing support to the wider team

About you:

  • You have strong experience in a similar role
  • Wellversed accounting knowledge with good tax exposure
  • Strong Excel abilities ideally with SAP knowledge
  • Have an eye for detail and pride yourself on producing quality work
  • Happy to be handson in a role, and enjoy working collaboratively
