We are looking for an experienced HR Business partner to come and join our People and Culture Team in full-time permanent capacity, based in either Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) or Pōneke (Wellington).

As our HR Business Partner (Senior), you will be providing strategic and operational HR leadership, advice, and services to the business.

Working in close partnership with senior managers and leaders across the business you'll support the successful planning and achievement of business objectives and outcomes.

Moreover, you will lead the implementation of strategic HR projects and transformational changes across the business.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Being a strategic partner and trusted advisor to guide and influence key business stakeholders to ensure that all HR Services, projects, and initiatives are properly planned, communicated, and implemented ensuring these meet the needs of the business.
  • Providing thought leadership and using your business acumen to drive best practice and offer insight on business organisational culture, leadership, capability, and change readiness.
  • Offering expert advice and leadership on employment relations and change management processes.
  • Promoting an industrial relations environment that encourages constructive and collaborative engagement and a shared problemsolving approach with unions and employees.

The skills you'll need to succeed
You'll thrive at a fast-paced working environment, you are confident driving chance and influencing outcomes, and you bring a track record of success in partnering with managers and leaders acting as a trusted advisor

Furthermore, you'll have:

  • Minimum 6 years of working experience in a generalist HR advisory/partnering role.
  • Solid knowledge of HR operations, systems, and processes, NZ employment legislation, and working in unionised business environments.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to lead, engage, and influence across all levels.
  • A tertiary HR qualification.
