About the Organisation:


The New Zealand Intelligence Community ("NZIC") are seeking a creative and strategic Manager to lead and manage our People & Capability Service Delivery team, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Human Resource services across the NZIC.

About the role:


As the Director Service Delivery, your main objective will be to lead and manage the P&C Service Delivery team, providing timely and professional advice and services to meet the needs of the organisation.

You will play a crucial role in contributing to strategic thinking around people practices, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction of the NZIC.

Reporting to the Head of People and Capability you will also contribute as a member of the People and Capability Executive Team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop a highperforming team that delivers exceptional advice and services.
  • Lead the development of strategies, policies, and plans for all core areas of P&C Service Delivery.
  • Ensure alignment of P&C Service Delivery with the strategic priorities of the organization.
  • Provide a strategic view to the team by anticipating future consequences and trends.
  • Collaborate with the wider P&C team to achieve cohesive approaches to priorities.
  • Participate as a member of the P&C Executive Team to contribute to effective strategy and policy development.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders across the NZIC.
  • Lead the Employment Relations, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, HR Advisory Services, and HR Policy teams.

About you:

  • You will have extensive experience in Human Resources in medium to large size, complex organisations, with expertise in customerfacing service delivery functions.
  • Proven experience in managing and motivating highperforming teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive service improvements.
  • You will ideally have knowledge of government processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to engage, influence, negotiate, and work collaboratively.
  • Skilled at stakeholder management to a high level.
  • Strong strategic thinking capability.
