You will be part of a collaborative team and support the Director, Portfolio Management and the Investment and Portfolio Management Office to ensure that investment and business case functions deliver high quality outputs to various governance boards.


You will provide support to various governance boards and work closely with the team to support planning, monitoring, tracking and reporting, with a particular focus on digital programmes and projects.

Mōhou ake | About you


You will have lots of energy and be able to manage multiple tasks at one time and will be a good communicator and very well organised.

You will have great time management skills and be a self-starter that requires mínimal supervision.

Ideally you will have had some experience in a coordinator or EA role before and have knowledge or experience in an infrastructure related area.


You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.

You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.


You will also demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience in coordinating and managing governance processes, meetings and collating reports and papers for review and approval.
  • Ability to coordinate programmes of work and work closely with managers to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people, including senior managers and team members.

At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau.

To better deliver on this, we are currently undergoing an organisational design change. The transition phase to improve the way we deliver our purpose will be complete in 2023.
