_THE ROLE _


Due to a departure within the team, we are seeking a strong leader to manage our hardworking Mobile Delivery team based in the Christchurch.


You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the project site, coordinating resources (site crews, subcontractors, plant, and materials) and tracking the job to projected timelines.

Together with the Build Managers, you will work closely with Project Managers as the onsite 'eyes and ears' to supervise the teams and ensure completion to specifications.

You will also ensure the project is delivered per the drawings and specifications, following relevant QA processes, and that any changes, variances, or risks outside of the project program are identified and monitored.


_WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR _

  • Reviewing the project program weekly with the Build/Project Manager
  • Ensuring the agreed project program is met for each task and report any variances.
  • Planning and communicating expected outcomes with the project team and wider Delivery team.
  • Fostering a robust Health and Safety culture within the team.
  • Monitoring and recording activities of the project team and subcontractors through regular briefings and checks.
  • Developing team capabilities and managing performance, delegating tasks where appropriate.
  • Allocating resources effectively to achieve deliverables and ensure risks are minimised and remediated in a timely manner.

_WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED _

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in civil engineering or telecommunications.
  • Class 2 Driver's licence and Hiab certificate preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and building strong relationships.
  • Strong resilience and growth mindset, embracing change with a positive outlook.
  • Effective strategic problem solver, exercising strong judgement when addressing issues.
