About the role

NZBS is seeking an experienced portfolio manager to lead our Technical Services project management team. You'll be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, collaborate with the Project Management Office, other senior leaders and executives to ensure visibility and alignment of Technical Services projects with NZBS's strategic goals.

The Technical Services Directorate has national accountability for laboratory and scientific operations including Manufacturing, Patient Services and Cellular Therapy and Tissue Banking. Projects can include the procurement and replacement of key equipment/ testing platforms, operational changes and process improvements.

The role will:

  • Lead a passionate Project Management team
  • Drive project delivery across the Technical Services portfolio, deliver against the project prioritisation framework and ensure investment planning/ budgeting
  • Build relationships across the organisation to ensure projects meet clinical, quality, regulatory and business requirements.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Profile:

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Recognised expert in the field of Project Management as evidenced by a project management qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering highly complex clinical, pharmaceutical or technically centred programme of work in a health care or related environment, that accepts no compromises in quality and safety.
  • Exemplary relationship management skills, including the ability to manage complex internal and external customer relationships.
