**Why you'll love working with Tower**
At Tower, we live and breathe our values - they are at the heart of every interaction. **Our people come first, **we pride ourselves on creating a diverse and inclusive space that allows our people to thrive. Encouraging everyone to bring their whole selves to work, we aim to represent the diverse communities we work in and with.
We also have a plan to lead our industry forward into a more customer-centric future with innovation and disruptive thinking, as a unique Kiwi and Pacific insurance provider operating for over 150 years, with roots all the way back to Dunedin.
**What will you be doing?**
Reporting to the Claims Recoveries Manager, you will minimize the impact of claims costs for Tower and seek to recover costs from both third-party insurers and uninsured third parties in the shortest possible timeframe with the intention of maximising the chance of a successful recovery. - Prepare the recovery of claims right through to the Disputes Tribunal if you have not been able to reach an agreeable settlement.
- Refer files that have not had successful contact with third-party agents and assist them with any inquiries they may have in their attempts to make contact.
- Follow up Disputes Tribunal outcomes to ensure settlement by the debtor, referring to court action where necessary.
- Remain up to date with the legislative requirements affecting our business.
**What you'll need**
You must have an understanding of Insurance liability and the GI Claim Lifecycle; and you must be resilient with an ability to negotiate debt recovery. You must also be able to understand financial vulnerability and respond accordingly.
