**Job Description**:

As a valued part of the Sales Leadership team, your role will be to lead at team of national and regional account managers across NZ, ensuring that sales revenue is achieved, and growth opportunities are maximised. This role will be based at our Auckland office in Wiri and reports directly to the Director, Sales.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Mentor, develop and empower the sales team to execute the sales and service strategy and meet customer expectations
- Retain and grow the existing customer base through best practice value adding customer service and joint business planning
- Significant involvement in conducting major commercial negotiations with customers, primarily in the FMCG sector
- Maintain cross functional relationships internally to achieve growth, stock availability, product quality and customer service
- Evaluate new business opportunities and negotiate terms of sales agreements
- Develop and execute marketing research and marketing initiatives within the region.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field
- Previous experience in a senior sales role in a large multi-national. Exposure to FMCG would be beneficial
- A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a geographically dispersed team
- A strong level of financial and commercial acumen
- The ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle complexity and ambiguity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education

Bachelors - Business Administration/Management

Preferred Level of Work Experience

3 - 5 years
