Reducing the incidence and severity of injuries for Māori is a strategic priority for ACC and one of the many ways we help to improve Māori access, experience and outcomes every day. ACC is increasing its investment in Māori focussed injury prevention activities together with implementing an ambitious Injury Prevention Strategy.

We have a newly created opportunity to join as our Injury Prevention Partner, this role sits within our Strategic Investment Team. The role will focus on taking a Kaupapa Māori approach to implementing Whāia Te Tika via injury prevention initiatives.

You will lead and coordinate the delivery of investments within the Māori Injury Prevention work programme, that will better deliver on whānau Māori needs.

**Some of the important mahi you will be involved in**:

- Leading, managing and advising where required, the planning, design and implementation of a primary prevention system to support and improve Māori access, experience and outcomes.
- Building strong internal relationships to support Injury Prevention-wide improvements in culturally appropriate and effective programmes.
- Working in partnership with whānau, hapū, iwi and Māori providers and communities to design and deliver a range of programmes for Māori whānau.

**As the successful Injury Prevention Partner, you will be**:

- Energetic, motivated and carry an agile and innovative mind-set
- Experienced in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programmes that deliver improved outcomes for Māori
- Capable in your knowledge of te reo Māori and tikanga, with a sound understanding of Maori culture and values.
- An excellent communicator with strong relationship management skills across a wide range of stakeholders, gaining their trust and respect.

We offer an attractive salary $98k to $122k depending on experience, plus 9% super is on offer, along with an opportunity to grow and develop your career in one of New Zealand’s leading government agencies.
