The Health and Injury Management team are responsible for the successful management of injury and illness management, early intervention, non-work and work claims, fitness for duty and Health Monitoring programs across New Zealand.

**About the role**
- We have a rare and exciting, newly created role up for grabs, so here’s your opportunity to stamp your mark and make this role your own.

Reporting directly to the Group Health & Safety Management Lead, you will work closely across the Fletcher Building group with internal stakeholders, as well external providers to achieve best practice and innovative program outcomes to foster a culture of continuous improvement around injury prevention and wellbeing initiatives to achieve optimal health in our people.

Whilst injury management forms part of this role, a major focus will be on the overall wellbeing and wellness of our people, taking a proactive approach to ensure the right support programmes, systems and processes are in place.

You’ll develop and implement practical health, wellness, and injury management programs, ACC employer audits, and health and wellbeing culture transformations. These programs would include early intervention initiatives, fitness for work, health monitoring to drive a proactive safety culture and a goal to zero injuries.

**About you**
- To be considered, you’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline with at least 5+ years’ experience of occupational health, or knowledge of health-related diseases/illnesses. This will be coupled with an understanding and experience with health/wellness and injury management, including work claims and fitness for work in large complex organizations. Previous experience training, coaching, upskilling, and mentoring allocated Health and Safety leads is a must, and most importantly is your passion, enthusiasm, and empathy for the wellbeing of others.

It therefore goes without saying that you’ll possess excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, seen as engaging and able to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders, and service providers. Highly effective influencing and persuasion skills at all levels will see you succeed in this rewarding role.
