Our team are currently seeking an experienced Cultural Lead to become an integral member of our team. This role is location agnostic and can be based in any of our GHD offices across New Zealand.

We have a responsibility to build strong, meaningful and enduring relationships with Tangata Whenua and to ensure that our technical solutions embrace cultural thinking, even if that journey means a harder route to drive the outcome.
We look to the individual selected for this role to take us safely on that journey across our business activities. They need to be a strategically focused individual who can walk both the commercial world and Te Ao Māori with integrity and mana. We are committed to developing the cultural identity of our organization and of our staff. The appointee needs to balance our desire for pace, against ensuring we are authentic in our approach and actions.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Champion the weaving of cultural authenticity into GHD NZ
- Support Leadership to strengthen their understanding of Te Ao Māori
- Support the delivery of organisational change
- Promote, advocate and implement cultural components of our strategies
- Liaise with external agencies, authorities and inclusive Iwi and Māori entities
- Inform and develop policies, practices and guidelines for working effectively with Maori to deliver improved environment, economic, cultural and social outcomes
**What you will bring to the team**:
- Leadership skills and the ability to influence and create a cultural alignment
- Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills in Te Reo Māori
- Experience working with whanau, hapu, iwi, Māori organisations and communities
- Experience working in a similar cultural role
