Engineering Manager

**About this Opportunity**
As a proven Engineering Manager reporting to the Site Leader, you will play a leading role in the strategy and day to day activities across engineering and maintenance processes to ensure maximum production time and continuous improvement of the manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for delivering on capital programmes and projects for the plant, as well as providing industry-leading reliability systems and technical support. You will display effective leadership qualities where everyone has the chance to be their best.

This role is a crucial part of our senior leadership team your core responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

- Providing leadership and support to the Engineering Team and to ensure appropriate management of resources in line with operational demand with a goal of creating a ‘world-class’ manufacturing environment.
- Leading, inspiring, and mentoring your team to create a collaborative and engaged environment
- Instilling a strong culture of Workplace Health and Safety awareness with high attention to detail
- Managing all areas of Maintenance (Electrical/Mechanical/Preventative) & Capital Projects
- Maintaining the reliability, maintenance and improvement of all equipment
- Managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Scheduling repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations in addition to implementing all the investment projects inside the factory
- Planning, developing and implementing new methods and procedures to ensure smooth operations of the plant
- Contractor management including management of costs and standards of work
- Recommending and implementing maintenance plans and capital additions

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary Engineering or Trade qualifications.
- A genuine commitment to safety and previous experience in building safety culture
- Experience with Strategic Capital Portfolio Management and proven Project Management skills
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on coaching, strong decision making and ability to align the vision and strategy
- Strong business acumen with a proven background in a similar environment and knowing how to lead a strong team from the front
- Experience with evaluating Projects that require additional CAPEX with a focus on continuous improvement
- Knowledge of MEX or familiarisation with other CMMS;
