We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team based in Otahuhu.

You'll be responsible for performing and completing a range of maintenance tasks efficiently and to a high standard. This includes routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of equipment and facilities to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Role Details:

Location: Otahuhu

Type: Temp to Permanent

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm

Pay Rate: $35–$45/hr (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance on machinery and building systems
  • Diagnose and repair faulty equipment using hand and power tools
  • Perform plumbing, piping, and minor fabrication or carpentry work
  • Maintain and repair roofs, windows, doors, flooring, and other building structures
  • Assist with planning and implementing facility improvements and expansions
  • Order and manage parts, tools, and materials as needed
  • Work closely with other maintenance team members and supervisors
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on maintenance skills
  • Experience performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Commitment to Health & Safety standards in the workplace
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
