Our client is a well-established, globally recognised organisation with a fast-moving supply chain that services a large number of food retailers across iconic brands. They are seeking a Senior Procurement Professional who will take responsibility for all indirect categories.

The Corporate Procurement Manager will lead all indirect procurement categories. These categories include marketing materials, IT, facilities service contracts, and equipment. You will develop category strategies both locally and globally.

The role involves managing the full procurement lifecycle—from category strategy development to supplier negotiations and contract management. The focus will be on achieving optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance, ensuring value is driven across the procurement process.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience & Expertise:

  • In-depth understanding of procurement with extensive experience in managing indirect categories

  • Previous team leadership experience
  • Robust understanding of the domestic and international supplier markets
  • Proven ability to negotiate supplier contracts and manage supplier performance to deliver cost-effective outcomes
  • A track record of identifying and implementing value engineering opportunities to reduce total cost while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent commercial acumen and well-developed negotiation skills

  • Ability to engage with various stakeholders and demonstrate the value of procurement to the broader business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Robust analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making
  • Agility to move quickly between strategic, tactical, and administrative tasks
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and implement improvements
  • Qualifications:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and evidence of on-going professional development
