Are you passionate about driving meaningful change within an organisation? Join DOC to lead the charge in creating high-impact organisational development (OD) initiatives that make a real difference in shaping DOC's future and supporting our vision for a thriving natural environment.

As our Senior Organisational Development Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing OD solutions that directly influence the culture and performance of DOC. Your work will enable us to achieve our strategic priorities by fostering a more effective and connected organisation. You will be a systems-thinker and strong collaborator who can take the lead on a range of organisational development initiatives.

The position will:

- Partner with leaders and the wider business to identify and address key organisational challenges and design bespoke OD interventions that drive DOC's strategic direction.
- Work closely with teams across the business to develop and implement practical OD solutions that engage key stakeholders, are user friendly, and deliver lasting change.
- Work hand-in-hand with People & Culture teams and some of our Maori specialists to enhance DOC's organisational culture and achieve our strategic goals.
- Work on a variety of OD programmes that strengthen DOC being a healthy, inclusive and effective organisation to work for, and with.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of OD initiatives, share insights with leadership, and adapt strategies to drive ongoing improvement.
- Provide expert OD guidance, facilitating conversations, reflection, and action that empowers leaders and staff to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will be an experienced Senior Organisational Development Advisor who has a varied generalist background. As a self-starter with a proactive approach, you will relish the opportunity to grow, develop and own core foundational OD work programmes.

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you:

- Proven experience designing and delivering a broad range of OD initiatives that help build organisational culture and capability.
- A thorough understanding of OD tools, theories and practices.
- Relevant degree or post-graduate qualification, e.g. in organisational psychology, organisational behaviour, or human resources, or equivalent experience.
- A proven ability to create and implement fit-for-purpose, user-friendly OD interventions that help people in organisations achieve strategic goals.
- You are known for your ability to build strong relationships both with senior leaders and stakeholders, and you have great written / verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in facilitating change, strengthening ways of working, coaching, and designing systems that elevate organisational performance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels and guide others through dialogue, reflection, and change.
- The ability to successfully navigate change and complexity and generate pragmatic action plans in collaboration with others.

Desirable:

- Knowledge in any areas such as culture and behavioural change, inclusion and diversity, flexible work, wellbeing, employee experience surveys, and talent management would be beneficial.
- Previous experience working in the public sector will be highly advantageous.
