We are looking for a Regional Manager to join our Transport operations in the beautiful Bay of Plenty.

Reporting to the GM Transport Northern, you’ll provide effective area-wide leadership, ensuring a highly motivated and productive field team, consistently delivering excellent services for our clients.

About the role

With six direct reports and a portfolio including long-term road corridor maintenance contracts, civil construction projects, sealing and paving operations, and a range of support services. We are looking for a passionate and driven person to continue to build and maintain a positive culture with highly engaged team members, and to support the growth of our business across the Bay of Plenty region.

As such, you’ll act as a client relations manager, being a key liaison between our clients and customers you will develop steady and sustainable relationships, all the while providing guidance and advice ultimately ensuring client satisfaction.

Success in this role will be demonstrated through proven results in the following areas;
Developing local business opportunities while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Improving and embedding sustainable relationships with key stakeholders including clients, and subcontractors

Enhancing manager competencies to ensure the ongoing success of the business in to the future

Ownership of financial management to drive excellence

The safety, career potential and wellbeing of our people

About you
As someone with strong emotional intelligence, you’ll have passion and drive; smarts and commercial acumen; courage; a collaborative and team-based focus; a commitment to Human Resource and Zero Harm to keep our people fulfilled & safe.

As a confident presenter, you’ll be able to tailor your message to your audience, taking complex information and turning it into plain English. You’ll also have a proven track record of operational excellence and delivering on operational promises and commercial outcomes.

**You will couple this with**:
Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage and influence at all levels

Proven experience in delivering complex construction, maintenance and operational services, preferably from construction and roading sectors

Experience in working at a senior leadership team level internally and with customers

Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively

The ability to create and deliver a strong customer focus & zero harm culture

Ability to work under pressure in a fully integrated team environment

A desire to advance into Senior General Management roles within Downer
