**About the role**

Our client are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of their business. Working with clients and suppliers, providing team leadership and direction, and coordination management across all areas of the company, the Operations Manager will work closely with the Workshop and Production team and therefore have a sound understanding of engineering practices.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for identifying business opportunities to drive growth, and work closely with the Directors to implement the strategic direction of the company.
- A minimum of 3-5 years business management experience in a similar role or industry
- Operational management experience
- Team leadership experience, confident managing HR processes
- Experience in procurement - knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings, materials and processes
- Strong relationship building and business development skills
- Financial management experience
- Strategic planning, marketing, forecasting and budgeting experience
- Scheduling experience
- Practical trades experience
- Health and safety management experience
- Established existing contact network within the forestry industry
- Familiar working with job management and inventory software.
- Good general computing ability and adaptability to learning new software programmes
- Forestry experience / knowledge is desirable
