Group Operations Manager

With the opening of the first MEGA store in 2004 we have kept up a steady growth - and you can be part of our continuing success by joining the team.
We are now seeking applicants for the challenging and demanding role of Group Operations Manager someone who can take on the responsibility for driving the profitability and operational performance for our four Business units; Mitre 10 Mega Tauranga, Mitre 10 Mega Rotorua; Mitre 10 Waihi and our Truss & Frame Production Plant.
The GOM role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting Directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role you will see you working Monday to Friday (40 hours per Week) based in our Tauranga Store
**The key areas of accountability for this role include**:
- Leading, motivating, and growing a strong team culture that reflects our company values.
- Developing strategies to grow our business and maximise profit and productivity.
- Financial management, achieving and exceeding sales revenue targets.
- Ensuring all operational processes are carried out in regard to stock management and profit protection, in order to minimise shrinkage;
- Leading a culture of continuous improvement of safety performance.
**You would also need to demonstrate**:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a professional approach.
- An organised approach, proven reliability, and the ability to manage your time efficiently.
- A positive “can-do” attitude, with the flexibility to deal with ad-hoc tasks as they arise.
- Exceptional business level writing skills, along with intermediate MS Office computer skills (Word & Excel).
- Analytical experience to dissect data.
