**Product Manager**
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to advance their career by joining our Merchandise Team as a **Product Manager** in the **Category Team,** based in Wiri, Manukau
Reporting to the National Category Manager, this pivotal role with massive potential and will see you responsible for developing and achieving long-term strategic growth and profitability. Your primary focus will be on the growth of engineering supplies categories including but not limited to Power Tools, Welding & Abrasives.
**Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Assist National Category Manager/Product Manager with reporting that assists in New Product Launch plan (NPL)
- Provide accurate forecasting to the Category Buyers to ensure correct range and timeliness for stock holding is achieved to maximize revenue and profitability objectives
- Produce new product releases as directed by Product Managers
- Manage the implementation of product exit strategies including the exit maintenance and communication to the branches
- Develop and maintain pricing strategies that maximize the opportunity for category growth through research on market pricing
- Communicate channel strategies and promotional programs
- Develop and publish annual product training program

- Have proven category or product management experience
- Have exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Have the ability to exercise initiative, judgment and discretion
- Have demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of marketing and category management techniques coupled with a proven track record of developing and executing category plans, promotions and communication plans
