**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) enhances the health and disability system by leading health investments through planning, prioritising, delivering, and monitoring health infrastructure projects. The IIG manages this responsibility through several functions, including asset management, investment planning, business case development, facility design, programme and project management, service planning, and monitoring and assurance. The IIG is looking for a Senior Advisor who enjoys developing solutions to large and multi-faceted challenges in order to deliver high-performing hospitals and health facilities.
**Preference will be given to Health NZ l Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora employees.**
**Mōu | About you**
The Senior Advisor will contribute to Health NZ l Te Whatu Ora by assisting with the development of health infrastructure business cases - documents that analyse all dimensions of a major challenge or opportunity, and then make recommendations to Government based on robust evidence. Multi-million-dollar investments are what get us out of bed The Senior Advisor will also support Health's investment planning by having a view of investments across the portfolio and supporting the prioritization and sequencing of these.
In this role you will report to Group Manager Business Case Development.
You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders (interacting with regions, hospitals and a wide range of stakeholders).
To be successful in this role you will be agile, analytical, a critical thinker, and able to deal with complexity. You will also be willing to share your knowledge and expertise to support the growth of the team.
This is an opportunity where together we can tackle one of the most critical infrastructure programmes in the motu - bringing all our health facilities and hospitals up to a high standard and ensuring equity for all New Zealanders.

- Tertiary level qualification in a relevant area and/or appropriate experience
- Health sector and or government experience is not a requirement but may be beneficial
- Working with ‘Better Business Case' model and the ‘Treasury Investment Planning' framework, will be an advantage
